Pregnancy announcements — the time when people would flood your Facebook wall with “Congratulations!”, or lots of “Yay!!!”, or “Finally!”.
Since it’s most likely to only happen a few times in your life, you might as well get creative!
We compiled the best pregnancy announcements here in the interwebs, so if you’re announcing “something” soon, feel free use these as inspiration! (Just make sure to share it with us, too! We’re suckers for a good pregnancy announcement!)
1. There Wasn’t A Dry Eye In The Room
“Is it a new couch?” “Are we gonna dance?” This dad-to-be is so innocent it hurts!
Little did he know there really wasn’t something there… but there was something IN there. Get it? Good.
Also, is it just me or was everyone’s heartstrings pulled when the flashbacks started playing?
2. Photobooth Romance
This was all over my Facebook feed for sometime, and I get why. It is so simple, raw, and so, so pure. At one point (see 0:28 onwards) the dad’s face shifted from😲 to 😁 to 😭 and boy, did I feel that to the core!
3. I Think I’m Ready For Something New
If you’re a musician, you’d know that the words and the melody would come easy — especially if you’re filled with so many emotions (probably of love for someone you haven’t met yet, and excitement, and shock, and everything else in between).
This couple broke the news about their pregnancy with no less than a music video, featuring the song Tom (the dad) had written for his baby on the way. As of the time being, it has 13 million(++) views on YouTube.
Disclaimer: Prepare for some good LSS.
4. The Exasperated Boy
“This is exasperating!!!”
Hold up, someone’s not having it!
This little boy is not so pleased that he’s going to be a big brother for the second time, and we can’t help but laugh because words pretty much just flew out of his mouth.
And it was hilarious.
5. The Cameo
Reddit user yogaposer shared this picture of Emily (their friend) with Will Smith, whom she bumped into a coffee shop, making this hard-to-top baby announcement.
Thankfully, Will Smith was pretty down for it.
I’d personally be down to do this with Bruno Mars or Beyonce. Or, you know, what ever celebrity I happen to run into at the coffee shop!
6. “It Still Works!”
Oh, it sure did. And I can’t help but feel all. the. feels.
Paraplegic Todd Krieg and wife Amanda Diesen thought that conceiving naturally would be a shoot for the moon kind of thing, since Krieg became paralyzed from a dirt bike accident in 2014, causing him to me immobile chest downwards.
Love the edgy feel of this one!

7. The Eviction Notice
Sharana and Aaron Horton, a couple from Atlanta, Georgia, with a 14-month-old daughter named Summer, came up with this funny pregnancy announcement— and that entails Summer’s eviction.
Note said (as originally posted on Sharana’s Instagram):
“EVICTION NOTICE: Please Note that Your ‘Only-Child’ Status will Expire within 18 weeks. … You are REQUIRED to VACATE THE PREMISES as a New Tenant is Expected on June 25, 2017. -Thanks, Management aka Mommy and Da-Da. “P.S. ISSAAA BOOOOYYYYYYY!!!!”
Oh dear, her face sure was a giveaway that she didn’t like how things went down.
8. This Movie Poster Material
And now, I’m craving for Sour Patch and Lays and that tub of Reese’s ice cream. This is quite effective product placement, too.
9. Our Furry Friends Have Something To Say
Originally appeared on People.com through their pregnancy announcement contest, this entry didn’t win but it was a sure win in our hearts!
Well because, dogs + babies, are always a cute, cute combo.
10. The Bun Pun
“We had my husband’s mom and grandma coming over to go to a family picnic, and asked them to help check on what was in the oven. We stood back with camera in hand as they opened it. My mother-in-law caught on right away to the “bun in the oven.” Grandma was a little confused,’Why is there a hamburger bun in the oven? Why is Martha crying? Why is Wendy taking pictures?’ It was one of the funniest and most memorable moments ever!”
(Originally appeared on Parenting.com)
We particularly loved this one’s bun in the oven pun (the rhymes just go, forgive me), just because, well, it’s punny (and well thought out).
11. Drop It With A Photoshoot
I don’t think the word “cute” can ever cover this baby announcement because Beyonce isn’t just cute (we can all agree to this, right? Okay, cool.).
Originally posted on Beyonce’s Instagram, this totally broke the internet and had a lot of parodies after, and I’m not surprised why.
